‘The Lion King’ EDUCATION PROGRAMME is an innovative way to teach pupils of all ages about the wonderful world of live theatre and to capture their attention and imaginations as never before. Developed for teachers by teachers, this programme will help school groups to get more out of the experience of seeing this award-winning musical.

Combining a live performance of 'The Lion King' in London with classroom-based activity before and after your visit, this programme is specifically designed to assist you in delivering education that is both entertaining and informative.


Complimentary Teaching Resource Pack

These Teaching Resource Packs are an invaluable guide to help you develop projects, discussions and other curriculum-linked activities for pupils, to take place either before or after your visit to the theatre.

There are both Primary and Secondary Teaching Resource packs available that will assist in achieving core National Curriculum goals in Key Stages ½ and ¾. Both come with teacher's notes, pupil activity sheets, curriculum mapping and a range of classroom activities.

Complimentary DVD - ‘The Lion King’ - Behind The Scenes

Created exclusively for educational use, this truly unique teaching resource comprises 10 short episodes - each focussing on a different aspect of THE LION KING. Episodes range from the award-winning masks and puppets, costumes and choreography, to adapting the film for the stage, themes behind the story and the African music in the show.

Hosted by former Blue Peter presenter Matt Baker, these episodes work together to give your pupils an informative “virtual backstage tour” of this acclaimed production.

Episodes are curriculum-linked and come with pupil comprehension questionnaires for both Primary and Secondary levels.
